Integrated ballast trays

Efficient static solution with substrate

PMT EVO GREEN offers an intelligent solution for roofs with limited load reserves: the integration of ballast trays. Instead of additional weights, the existing green roof substrate is placed directly in the trays and used as ballast. This reduces the roof load, saves material and at the same time ensures a clean static distribution - particularly advantageous for lightweight roof structures or renovation projects with a limited reserve.

Regardless of which modules are used with the PMT East-West substructure, our universal fastening covers clamping ranges between 30 and 50 mm.

Standardized ballast blocks

Thanks to the standardized ballast stones, our east-west substructure can be planned and installed quickly and easily. The 15 kg stones are already integrated into PMT-Plan . Our mounting systems also have a significantly lower ballast requirement compared to other substructures.

How much does the system cost in €/kWp or €/module?

Send us your project. You will then receive an individual offer with the corresponding price.

How long is the warranty and what is included?

The product warranty is 15 years incl. ProPlate or ProPlate Gravel.

Can the system be integrated into the lightning protection system?

PMT EVO GREEN has been tested for lightning current carrying capacity and can be integrated into the lightning protection concept of the building by a lightning protection engineer. Please note that one lightning protection screw must be installed for each connectionPMT EVO GREEN Base or PMT EVO GREEN Tower to HBP, VBP or AEBP).

Can the equipotential bonding be compared with the PMT EVO 2.1 system?

The low-resistance connection test was carried out by an external testing institute. The module earthing can be covered by our TerraGrif or by the module clamps including earthing plate.

Is the abZ already available?

The abZ has already been submitted to the DIBt. We can provide you with the confirmation of receipt. Please contact us if required.

What needs to be considered with a green roof?

In general, the greening (extensive or intensive) and the appropriate ground gap and maintenance aisle must be taken into account. Please inform us of any relevant specifications so that this can be taken into account during planning.
It should also be noted that PV systems on green roofs are not maintenance-free. The maintenance instructions must be observed.
Further specifications (regional, building owner, insurance, fire protection and other adjacent trades) must be observed and communicated to PMT as planning specifications.

What are the advantages of ballasting compared to an integrated green roof system?

A ballasted system can also be retrofitted to existing green roofs. However, the corresponding load reserves must be taken into account. Furthermore, it is much easier to repower a ballasted system if individual components need to be replaced or the substructure moved due to a different module size. In addition, there is a clear separation of the different trades, whereby the expertise of each individual can be used accordingly.

Note on possible eligibility

The PMT EVO GREEN product may in principle be eligible for funding under state or regional funding programs in the areas of sustainability and energy efficiency. However, the specific requirements, application channels and funding amounts vary considerably - depending on the federal state, available programs and the individual circumstances and objectives of the applicant (e.g. company size, industry or type of project).

We ask for your understanding that we cannot offer advice on funding matters and therefore recommend that you obtain information yourself from the relevant authorities or an independent funding consultant.
