With PMT FLAT DIRECT , PMT offers both safety and flexibility. In addition to the variable range of applications for the pitched roof PV mounting systems, the roof-penetration-free installation and stability speak for themselves. Discover further highlights of our pitched roof substructure for PV.

Our all-rounder for pitched roof PV mounting systems

Ballast fixation

Ballasting made easy

The WTG wind tunnel report confirms the optimum ballasting of the pitched roof photovoltaic mounting system PMT FLAT DIRECT. The ballast is securely fixed by using the universal module ballast clamp.

Variable application range

Always ready for action

The pitched roof PV mounting system can be installed without penetration. This makes it suitable for roof segments such as pitched, monopitch, shed, barrel and butterfly roofs. It has also proven itself for roof materials such as foil, sandwich panels and bitumen.

Installing modules correctly

What you should bear in mind

Our PV mounting systems for pitched roofs comply with the areas of the clamps on the most common modules. The drainage opening is kept clear. Low-resistance module earthing is possible.

Integrated cable management

Trouble-free and safe

Thanks to an integrated cover, the cables disappear immediately after installation. This also makes it easier to route the cables and prevents interference when installing the photovoltaic pitched roof mounting systems.

Flexible height

Independent fixation

The universal fastening of our pitched roof PV mounting systems covers clamping ranges from 30 to 50 mm. This makes the application more variable and planning faster.

Continuous floor rail

Optimal installation

The base rail of our PV mounting systems for pitched roofs is continuous and offers an optimum support surface.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What mounting options are available for the pitched roof PV mounting systems FLAT DIRECT ?

  • Coupling of symmetrical system components via the roof high point
  • Coupling via the roof high point - the opposite side is only formed with ballast.
  • Single-sided installation by means of mechanical fastening over the ridge (e.g. shed roof) or fastening in the ridge area

On which roof covering is it possible to install PMT FLAT DIRECT ?

PMT FLAT DIRECT is the ideal pitched roof PV mounting system for all roof coverings. It can be mounted on all types of foil roofing, bitumen, all types of hard roofing (concrete, gravel and similar) as well as on insulated trapezoidal sheets (sandwich panels) without penetration.

What types of roof can PMT FLAT DIRECT be installed on?

Our pitched roof PV substructure can be installed on almost all common roof types. From pitched roofs and shed roofs to butterfly roofs, many roof types are possible. Special roof shapes such as barrel roofs and others are generally available on request.

What module dimensions are possible with our mounting systems?

With our standard vertical mounting system PMT FLAT DIRECT , modules with a maximum width of up to 1,050 mm and a maximum length of 2,110 mm can be installed. With a module width between 1,050 mm and 1,220 mm, a maximum module length of 1,870 mm is possible for a pitched roof solar mounting system.

Do I have to keep the gap between the modules?

The gap between the modules must be maintained in pitched roof PV mounting systems. This is a decisive factor in aerodynamics and has a significant influence on ballasting.

Can bricks with other dimensions also be installed?

Theoretically, all stone weights can be planned. Please note that our software PMT Plan uses the dimensions 40 x 40 x 4 cm and a weight of 15 kg per ballast stone as standard. If you use other stones, the stone height or stone thickness must not exceed 4 cm.

Where does the ballast go?

The ballast is attached to the base rails of the pitched roof PV mounting system in accordance with the project-specific ballast plan.

Can the system be connected to existing securties?

No, personal safety points or anchor points on the roof are not suitable for permanently supporting loads.

Is thermal separation necessary?

We recommend separation after 13 meters. Special projects are possible after consultation with PMT .

Is coupling possible in the eaves area?

Special projects with pitched roof PV mounting systems are checked on request by our internal sales department and our planning department. If a coupling is feasible, this will also be planned and offered.

Why were no rails with a length of 96 cm supplied, only rails with a length of 1860 mm?

The module rails of our pitched roof PV mounting systems are supplied in various standard dimensions and must be shortened on site. Please refer to the rail and cutting plan in the project report.

Is there a maximum field size, especially for coupled systems above the ridge?

We recommend a maximum field size of 13 x 13 meters. Special projects are possible after consultation with PMT .

What must be observed with coupled systems in areas of continuous rooflights?

Such projects must be fixed on site.
