PRODUCT FEATURES

Innovative click connections, smart cable routing and variable module dimensions make the installation of PMT EVO 2.1 EW uncompromisingly simple. Discover the many other advantages of our east-west substructure.

Simplified installation, certified safety and top quality performance for your flat roof projects

The east-west mounting system is suitable for almost all roof surfaces with a pitch between 0 and 10° and can be used in almost all European wind and snow load zones. There is also a 10° and a 15° variant.

Thanks to the innovative click connections of the PV mounting system Flat Roof East-West, the system can be installed safely and in a few simple steps.

We were one of the first companies to receive general technical approval from the German Institute for Building Technology for our aerodynamic flat roof systems. This certification confirms our technical and quality standards.

Revolutionary design through evolution
Click technology

Safe and simple technology

The flat roof east-west PV mounting system is easy to install thanks to click connections that cannot be reversed. The new ProPlates are also mounted on the profiles with a simple click.
Tested and safe

Lightning current carrying capacity

Our flat roof systems are inherently capable of carrying lightning currents and can therefore be integrated into the building's lightning protection concept. The lightning current carrying capacity of the east-west substructure has been verified in accordance with DIN EN 62561-1 (VDE 0185-561-1) : 2017-12.
PMT Quality

Safety first

We regularly test and verify our PV east-west substructure as part of wind tunnel tests, experimental component tests and on the basis of current DIN standards. Additional optional components such as ridge couplings and Solmont connections increase the safety factor.
Module independence

Variable dimensions possible

In principle, our photovoltaic fasteners are suitable for all standard modules on the market. PMT EVO 2.1 covers module surfaces up to 2.4 square meters.
Ballasting

Standardized ballast blocks

Thanks to the standardized ballast stones, our east-west substructure can be planned and installed quickly and easily. The 15 kg stones are already integrated into PMT-Plan . Our mounting systems also have a significantly lower ballast requirement compared to other substructures.
Perfect support

Adapts to the surface

The continuous PMT EVO 2.1 floor profiles are supplemented by the new ProPlates. These offer an improved contact surface and thus provide relief for various roof substrates.
Simple cable routing

Invisible integration in the system

Thanks to the integrated cover of the east-west substructure, the individual cables are no longer visible. The system includes a triple edge clip holder for fixing. Depending on the requirements of the system, separation distances of more than 150 mm can be maintained. The cables can be laid separately according to DC +/-.
Universal module and ballast clamp

Aiming high

Regardless of which modules you use with the PMT east-west substructure, our universal fastening covers clamping ranges between 30 and 50 mm.
Accessories from PMT

The optimal supplement

Depending on your requirements, we can offer our tried and tested accessories for our east-west substructure. Whether ridge coupling lengthwise and crosswise, route connection, mechanical fastening points, side covers or trapezoidal sheet metal adapters - we have the right extra to suit the requirements of your project.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many different types of cladding will there be?

There are three different cladding variants per main floor profile - standard, partial surface and full surface.

How much larger is the contact surface of the ProPlates?

The contact surface of the EVO 2.1 main floor profiles with ProPlates is on average 40% larger than that of the EVO 2.0 main floor profiles.

How much better will the load transfer into the roof be (in percent)?

The contact surface of the ProPlate of the EVO 2.1 system is on average approx. 40% larger than that of the high-tech building protection mats of the EVO 2.0 system. This is an average value, taking into account all rail lengths and all bonding variants.

What about the coefficient of static friction, also on bitumen?

We recommend measuring the static friction coefficient for each project on a project-specific basis using the PMT measurement protocol and the PMT static friction coefficient backpack.

The default value in the planning tool PMT PLAN is 0.5, which must be verified on a project-specific basis.

Are there migration results? Are film manufacturers involved?

The ProPlate plastic plate has been tested on various roof sealants (PVC, bitumen, EPDM, FPO/TPO).

You can request more detailed information at any time from your contact person or via project@pmt.solutions.

How much does the EVO 2.1 cost?

You can find the system prices in the corresponding price list. If you do not have this, you can request it at any time from your direct contact or project@pmt.solutions.

Can 2.1 be installed with 2.0 in a project?

PMT does not recommend mixing the different system variants EVO 2.0 and EVO 2.1 .

Can the 2.1 rail for trapezoidal sheet metal be used with the TBSH?

Installation for trapezoidal sheet metal with the TBSH can be carried out as usual.

Can Multi Monti continue to be offered?

The Multi Monti system (fastening the main floor profiles to the ballast blocks using Multi Monti screws) can be installed as usual. This is a takeover article.

What solution do we offer on trapezoidal sheet metal against the bead?

Installation for trapezoidal sheet metal with the TBH type 208 can be carried out as usual - both the main floor profile and the TBH type 208 are transfer components that can be installed as usual.

What heat and cold resistance does the ProPlate have?

The ProPlates have been tested and approved for temperatures between -20°C and +80°C.

Is a connection from 1° still recommended?

Furthermore, we recommend a connection to the roof from a roof pitch of 1° due to the thermally induced caterpillar effect. We recommend the BSW information paper, which we will be happy to provide on request.

What is the material resistance of the plastic plates?

For this purpose, endurance friction tests were carried out for a service life of 25 years. In addition, UV tests were carried out to ensure appropriate durability. If you require more detailed information on this, you can request it from your direct contact or via project@pmt.solutions.

Is there a chemical and mechanical approval for bitumen roofing?

The ProPlate plastic plate has been tested on various roof sealants (PVC, bitumen, EPDM, FPO/TPO).

You can request more detailed information at any time from your contact person or via project@pmt.solutions.

What material is the ProPlate made of?

PE-HD recyclate (high-density polyethylene - recyclate)

What are the warranty conditions?

The warranty conditions are available under Downloads.

Can I plan the system in the tool?

Like EVO 2.0, EVO 2.1 can be planned via PMT PLAN . If you have any detailed questions, please feel free to contact us at project@pmt.solutions at any time.

How do I know where the ProPlates are going?

The ProPlates can be found in the planning documents. There are three different options for using ProPlates for each main floor profile: Standard, partial surface or full surface.

The exact placement of the ProPlates can be found in the corresponding data sheet. Our installation template - Click Guide, which can be adapted to the corresponding cladding variant, is a further aid for correct cladding on the roof.

to PMT Plan

Is a connection from 1° still recommended?

We would also like to draw your attention to the BSW information paper from the Construction Division, which we will be happy to send you if required. On the basis of this information paper, we have decided to give a general recommendation for a connection from a roof pitch of 1.0°. With the introduction of the new expansion stage of the PMT EVO 2.1 system with ProPlates and their mechanical attachment to the main floor profiles, we are extending the recommendation for a connection to the flat roof from a slope of approx. 2% (roof pitch approx. 1.15°), provided that the PMT checklist has been completed accordingly and taken into account when planning the system. As each roof requires individual consideration due to unknown, individual parameters, we recommend appropriate maintenance routines. We can provide you with more detailed information on this.
