Photovoltaic carports for the research site
Our project partner Bosch Solar has realized a 4,073 kWp system on 39,000 m². Bosch Solar relied on our PMT CARPORT system for this project. At the Renningen site, around 15 percent of the electricity requirement can be covered by regionally and renewably generated electricity.
Project Report
A special version of the PMT CARPORTS was developed specifically for the research campus in Renningen. When it goes into operation at the end of 2024, the solar system will be the largest covered employee parking lot in Germany and will supply the adjacent data center with green electricity.
Challenges such as the steep slope of up to 5% and the unhindered functionality of the drainage troughs were successfully overcome during the planning phase thanks to excellent cooperation.
