Project Report

The term is planned for 30 years. Rising energy costs and an increased demand for energy make the plant so profitable. With a second plant, Bohnenkamp AG intends to cover up to 40% of its energy requirements independently. This is already being planned. The operation will save 350 tons of Co2 per year - the equivalent of almost 80 tons of hard coal or 70,000 liters of heating oil.

The new system, which we realized with our partners from GOLDBECK SOLAR, takes up a total area of around 10,000 m² on the roofs of the new Bohnenkamp logistics halls built in recent years. The system, which has a total weight of around 150 tons, was already taken into account in the planning during the construction of the new halls. It is expected to generate around 700,000 kWh per year. This would be enough to supply 200 four-person households with electricity for a year, for example, or to power 190 electric cars with a mileage of 20,000 km per year.
